Privacy notice

Information you choose to provide

If you contact Sheppy Consulting by email or LinkedIn, the information you provide may include your name, contact details, organisation and anything contained in your message.

How information is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, discuss potential work, provide agreed services, maintain business records and meet legal or regulatory responsibilities.

Lawful bases

Depending on the situation, information is used because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, to comply with a legal obligation, or for legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and administering the business. Those interests are considered against your rights and expectations.

Website analytics and cookies

This website does not currently use analytics or marketing cookies. If analytics are introduced, this notice will be updated before they are enabled. Any non-essential cookies would be supported by an appropriate consent mechanism.

Sharing and retention

Personal information is not sold. It may be shared where necessary with email, cloud-storage and IT providers, professional advisers, or public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law are used.

Enquiry information is kept only while it is needed to respond and follow up. If an enquiry becomes client work, relevant information may become part of the client and business records retained for contractual, tax, legal and professional purposes. Records are securely deleted when they are no longer required.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict its use, object to its use, and receive certain information in a portable format.

Your right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may always object to the use of your information for direct marketing.

If you have a concern, please contact Sheppy Consulting first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Automated decisions

Sheppy Consulting does not use personal information to make automated decisions or carry out profiling.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be reviewed when the way personal information is used changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
